Corononation Back to School Information
Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is Ms. Rania Delis, and I am honored to continue serving as Principal of Coronation School for another exciting year. On behalf of our entire staff, I am pleased to welcome you to the 2026–2027 academic year.
Classes for students in Grades 1 to 6 will begin on Tuesday, September 1, with school hours from 7:50 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. Please note that Preschool (Pre-K and Kindergarten) follows a separate progressive entry schedule, and families will receive a dedicated letter with details. We are all looking forward to a smooth and successful start to the school year.
Morning Drop-Off Procedures
As in previous years, all students, including new ones, will gather in the school yard at the start of the day. Teachers and staff will be there to welcome students, and signs will be posted to indicate grade levels. For safety and security reasons, parents are asked to remain outside the yard and wait by the fence. In case of rain, students will be directed to the gymnasium.
First Day of School: Grades 1–6
Tuesday, September 1 will be a full day of school for students in Grades 1 to 6, with regular bus and daycare services beginning on this day, except for Preschool. Due to the progressive entry schedule, bus service for Preschool students will begin on Thursday, September 3.
Dress Code & Supplies
Students should arrive wearing their Coronation colours—a white top and black bottom—and bring their school supplies. Supply lists are available on our website.
Student agendas will be distributed once school fees have been paid. The agenda serves as a vital communication tool between home and school. Please take a moment to review the school rules on page 6 with your child and sign the page.
You will also receive information regarding school and lunch fees, which can be paid by cheque, debit or credit card during the first week of school.
Cafeteria Services
Please note that cafeteria services will begin on September 14. Until then, students must bring a complete lunch, including a meal, two snacks and a reusable water bottle.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Safety
Thank you for continuing to respect our safety procedures when dropping off or picking up your child. Students should not be dropped off before 7:40 a.m., as there is no supervision before this time. The designated drop-off zone is located at Victoria Avenue and Linton Avenue.
To ensure the safety of all students, we kindly ask parents to avoid:
- Double parking
- Driving in the wrong direction
- Allowing children to exit vehicles in the middle of the street
- Making U-turns in the drop-off zone
- Leaving young children unsupervised
If your child is old enough, we encourage them to walk or bike to school when appropriate. Please note that the school parking lot is reserved for staff only. We appreciate your support in keeping our school community safe.
Mozaïk Parent Portal
It is essential that all parents create an account on the Mozaïk Parent Portal, where important communications and report cards are posted. If you need help setting up your account, please contact the school office.
School Closures
September 7: Labour Day holiday—school closed
September 18: Pedagogical day—school closed, but daycare open for registered students only
Meet the Teacher Evening
We look forward to welcoming you in person at our Meet the Teacher evening on Thursday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. More information will be shared soon.
On behalf of the entire Coronation team, I wish you and your child a safe, rewarding and memorable school year.
Warm regards,
Ms. Rania Delis
Principal
